Fri 13th Feb
Mike James’s maximum and MOM led Holwell to a 6-4 win over Knighton Park 7 team.
Martin Brunning supported him with 2 and 1 for Fred Berdej.
Hamza Caratela won 2 and what a win it was over Martin and narrowly losing to Mike 9-11 in the 5th. Kelvin Ho taking just the 1.
Stan Dunne was MOM with his maximum when he stepped up to play for Knighton Park 6, who managed to win the match 7-3 against Syston 4. Backing him up with 2 each were John Underwood and George McClurkin.
Martin Bolton won 2 for the away team and together with Scott Morris added the doubles for the point. Scott narrowly losing deuce in the 5th to John.
Unicorn halted Abbots Road run of match wins by holding them to a 5 all draw.
MOM was Jamie Elliot with a maximum, Joe Hume and Harry Barker adding their 1 each.
Omar and Ali Ahmed won 2 each and together took the doubles. Both Ali and Omar narrowly losing to Jamie 8 and 9 in the 5th.
Another draw this week saw Syston 3 hold Arnesby to 5 all.
Kevin Sanderson was MOM with a maximum and Rhys Emery backing him with his 2.
Barry Thompson won 2 for Arnesby and 1 each for Darren Bramhall and Dave Wagstaff, Darren and Barry secured the doubles for the 2 points.

Knighton Park 7 pulled out all the stops to beat club mates Knighton Park 6.
It was 2 all round for Niam Kotecha, Hamza Caratela and Khaalid Patel. Hamza narrowly losing to George McClurkin deuce in the 5th.
George was MOM with his maximum and together with Andy Searle took the doubles.
Abbots Road punished a 2 man Syston 3 with an 8-2 win, Omar and Ali Ahmed both with 2 each and 1 for Gitesh Parbhoo, they gave the doubles to Syston.
Kevin Sanderson was the only match won by Syston.
Syston 4 needed the doubles to secure the 6-4 win over Unicorn.
Martin Bolton and Scott Morris winning 2 each and 1 for Ian Lockington, Scott and Martin added the doubles.
Harry Barker was MOM with his maximum and 1 for Cameron Leighton.

Abbots Road have taken over top place in division from Knighton Park 6 who are now in 2nd place and Knighton Park 7 a creditable 3rd.
Knighton Park 7 were gifted 3 games by a 2-man Syston 3.
Muhammed Osman and Hamza Caratela won 2 each and together added the doubles for an 8-2 win.
Kevin Sanderson and Richard Anderson both winning 1 each.
Holwell out played Unicorn and beat them 8-2.
Andrew Goodacre was MOM with a maximum along side Mike James’s maximum, Fred Berdej winning 2.
Joseph Hulme won the only singles but took the doubles with Thomas Young.
Arnesby dominated their match against Syston 4 with an 8-2 win.
Darren Bramhall and Barry Thompson both with maximums and 2 for Dave Wagstaff. Some very close matches with Ian Lockington losing deuce in the 5th to Dave W and Martin Bolton losing 9-11 in the 5th to Barry.
Martin won the only singles and Syston were given the doubles.
Ali and Omar Ahmed again taking maximums when Abbots Road overwhelmed Knighton Park 6. Gitesh Parbhoo supporting them with his 1.

Sun 25th Jan
It was maximums from Andy Goodacre and Mike James that secured Holwells 7-3 win against Syston 4.
Martin Bolton, Ajay Lad and Scott Morris all winning 1 each and they conceded the doubles.
Arnesby beat Knighton Park 6 by 6-4 with 2 all round from Darren Bramhall, Dave Wagstaff and Barry Thompson.
George McClurkin was MOM with his maximum and they were given the doubles by Arnesby.
Syston 3 took on Unicorn and beat them 6-4 but with only 2 players as Ian Whetherley signing up to play in place of Rhys and then had to retire injured before being able to complete a match.
This left just Kevin Sanderson and Richard Anderson to play the match with a maximum from Kevin and 2 for Richard and the doubles.

It was a 2 man Syston team with Kevin Sanderson and Rhys Emery who lost 3. 7 to George McClurkins 2 And John Underwoods 1 and were given the double

Abbots Road played their rearranged match against Syston3 winning it 7-3.
Ali Ahmed with his maximum, 2 for Omar Ahmed and 1 for Fahed Sacoor.
Rhys Emery took 2 and 1 for Kevin Sanderson, sadly Ian Whetherely retired injured for 2 of his matches.
Knighton Park 7 entertained Unicorn with the home team winning 6-4.
It was 2 all round for Hamza Caratela, Niam Kotecha and Muhammed Osman.
Jamie Elliot was MOM with his excellent maximum, Jamie and new signing (ex KP player ) Muhammed Patel adding the doubles.
Holwell and Arnesby couldn’t be separated and drew 5 all in their outstanding match.
Martin Brunning was back on form with his maximum, Mike James backing him with his 2.
Darren Bramhall won 2 for the home team and 1 each for Dave Wagstaff and Barry Thompson, Darren and Barry taking the doubles for the 2 points.
There is 1 match which has been conceded, Unicorn conceded v Knighton Park 7. (Pete is trying to put that on the system for me)
Also 1 outstanding still to be played by Unicorn and Abbots Road no date as yet.

Just 1 postponement this week Unicorn are unable to transport their players to Knighton Park 7.
Holwell held Knighton Park 6 to a 5 all draw.
It was 2 each for Mike James and Andy Goodarcre and 1 for Fred Berdej.
George McClurkin took 2 for the away team and 1 each for Andy Searle and Elly Bajarias, Andy and George secured the double for the 2 points.
Syston 3 played Syston 4 but unfortunately both teams could only field 2 players so a short match.
The 3rd team beat the 4th team 5-4, but computer system was not happy.
Martin Bolton with 2 for the 4th team and Ian Whetherely and Richard Anderson both with 1 each and together held onto the doubles for the win.
Abbots Road overwhelmed Arnesby 8-2.
Ali Ahmed and Omar Ahmed both with maximums, Gitesh Parhboo supporting them with his 1.

Holwell and Arnesby have postponed til next week due to Arnesby venue not available.
Knighton Park 6 got back to winning ways this week and had a comfortable 7-3 win against Arnesby.
Elly Bajarias and Andy Searle both with maximums and they were given the doubles.
Barry Thompson, Dave Wagstaff and Darren Bramhall all winning 1 each.
Abbots Road made the trip to Unicorn and went home with a 7-3 win.
It was 2 all round to Ali Ahmed, Omar Ahmed and Gitesh Parbhoo.
Harry Barker was MOM with his maximum and breaking Ali’s winning spell on the division.
Knighton Park 7 took advantage of a depleted Syston 4, beating them 8-2.
Hamza Caratela and Niam Kotecha each winning 2, Niam with Muhammed Osman added the doubles to deny Syston a point.

Knighton Park 7 kept up the good work with 6-4 against Holwell.
Niam Kotecha was MOM with his maximum, 2 for Khaalid Patel and 1 for Kevin Ho.
Mike James took 2 for Holwell and 1 for Fred Berdej and together they took the doubles for the point.
Syston 4 held Unicorn to a 5 all draw.
Martin Bolton and Ian Lockington with 2 each and 1 for Ajay Lad who narrowly lost to Joseph Hu deuce in the 5th.
Jamie Elliot was MOM with his maximum and Joseph added his 1. Jamie along with Thomas Young secured the doubles.
Syston 3 beat Arnesby by 7 games to 3 thanks to Ian Whetherely and Kevin Sanderson’s maximums., Richard Anderson supported them with his 1.
1 Each for Dave Small and Darren Bramhall, Darren and Barry Thompson held onto the doubles for the point.
Have the wheels come off Knighton Park 6 as they have lost 7-3 to Abbots Road.

This week started with Holwell and Abbots Road holding each other to a 5 all draw.
Ali Ahmed with yet another 3 straight maximum and 1 for Gitesh Parbhoo and together with Ali took the doubles.
2 each for Martin Brunning and Mike James, Fred Bredej adding his 1.
Syston 3 made history this week by beating top of the table Knighton Park 6 6-4
2 each for Kevin Sanderson and Rhys Emery and 1 for Ian Whetherly, Kevin and Ian secured the double for the win.
George McClurkin’s maximum and MOM was not enough to save the match, Andy Searle took 1.
A close encounter for Unicorn and Arnesby, Arnesby coming out 6-4 winners.
2 each for Dave Small and Barry Thompson and 1 for Dave Wagstaff, Barry and Dave W hanging in there to take the doubles.
2 each for Harry Barker and Jack Etteridge,

Niam Kotecha was MOM with his maximum, 2 each for Hamza Caratela and Muhammed Osman, Niam and Hamza winning the doubles to deny Syston any points.

Knighton Park 6 head the table and hammered a 2 man Unicorn team 9.1
George McClurkin and Elly Bajarias with 2 each and 1 for Dean Jordan who narrowly lost to Jack Etteridge 9-11 in the 5th.
Jack’s win being the only 1 for Unicorn.
Knighton Park 7 pulled out all the stops for the team to win 6-4 against Arnesby.
Muhammed Osman was MOM with an excellent maximum, 1 each for Hamza Caratela and Kelvin Ho, Hamza and Muhammed securing the doubles for the win.
Abbots Road dominated Syston 4 with an 8-2 win., thanks to another 3 straight maximum from Ali Ahmed, Bhulesh Rathod and Gitesh Parhboo backing him with 2 each.

A close 6-4 win for Syston 3 over Holwell.

A rearranged match took place during Cup week, Arnesby v Unicorn.
James Elliot was MOM when Unicorn hosted their match with Arnesby, but Arnesby held them to a 5 all draw.
James with 3, Harry Barker supported him with 2 and they gave the doubles away
Barry Thompson won 2 and 1 each for Dave Wagstaff and Darren Bramhall.
There is 1 postponed match this week Abbots Road v Unicorn.
Knighton Park 7 travelled to Holwell and went home with a 6-4 win.
Hamza Caratela won 2 and a good win over Mike James, Niam Kotecha also 2 and Khaalid Patel backing them with his 1, Khaalid and Niam added the doubles for the win.
Mike and Andy Goodacre took 2 each..
Knighton Park 6 played Syston 4 and beat them 6-4.
George McClurkin was MOM with his maximum, Elly Bajarias and Dean Jordon 1 each.

Syston 3 took on Arnesby and saw them off 7-3.
Kevin Sanderson was in form with his MOM maximum, Richard Anderson won 2 and back from injury Ian Whetherly contributing his 1.
Darren Bramhall won 2 for the home side and Dave Wagstaff added his 1.

As we complete the first quarter of the season Knighton Park 6 sit at the top on 20 points having won all 5 of their matches, Abbots Road are in second place with 13 points. Sitting at the bottom are Syston Casuals with just 6 points.
Top of the averages table is Ali Ahmed with 100% from 15 matches.
This week John Underwood steered his team Knighton Park 6 to a 7-3 win over Knighton Park 6 with his maximum and MOM, George McClurkin taking 2 and Andy Searle with his 1, Andy and George adding in the doubles.
For the young team 6 Khaalid Patel winning 2 and a good win over George and Hamza Caratela with 1 and narrowly losing to John deuce in the 5th.
Unicorn 2 played Syston 4 and won 8-2 with Harry Barker a 3 straight maximum, James Elliot also having a maximum, Jack Etheridge supporting them with 1 and was narrowly beaten deuce in the 5th by Ian Lockington.
Ian and Martin Bolton with 1 each for the away team.
Abbots Road were 5-2 up against Syston 3 before Syston pulled it back by winning the last 3 games to a 5 all draw.
Ali Ahmed was MOM with his 3 straight maximum, Omar Ahmed backing him up with his 2, Gitesh Parhboo just missing out a win with a deuce in the 5th loss against Richard Anderson.
Richard and Rhys Emery won 1 each and Kevin Sanderson took 2, Richard and Kevin pulled out all the stops to take the doubles to share the points.
Another 2 man team from Arnesby hosted their match against Holwell and were held to a 5 all draw. Barry Thompson for Arnesby was MOM with his maximum and Dave Wagstaff backed him up with 2.
Mike James won 2 and together with Fred Berdej won the doubles deuce in the 5th , plus their gifted 3 to give Holwell the 2 points

Unicorn played their first match of the season and successfully beat Holwell 7-3.
Harry Barker and Cameron Leighton both taking maximums and together they added the doubles.
Martin Brunning, Richard Dolby and Fred Berdej all winning 1 each for Holwell.
Knighton Park 6 hosted Abbots Road and scrapped a 6-4, with 2 each from George McClurkin and John Underwood and Elly Bajarias adding his 1, George and John went 2 games down in the doubles and brought it back to win in 5 for the 4 points.
Ali Ahmed was MOM with his maximum and Gitesh Parhboo supporting him with 1.
Knighton Park 7 made the journey to Syston 3, who could only field 2 players, and went home with a 10.0 win.
Hamza Caratela, Niam Kotecha and Muhammed Osman beating both Kevin Sanderson and Richard Anderson.
Another 2 man team this week was Arnesby who pulled out all the stops and beat Syston 4 7-3.
Dave Wagstaff and Darren Bramhall were in top form to beat Ian Lockington, Martin Bolton and Scott Morris.

Still not all matches played this week and a rearranged brought forward.
Syston 3 postponed against Unicorn, Arnesby postponed against Knighton Park 6, so KP 6 decided to bring forward their match against KP 7.
So KP 6 v KP 7. (Hope your keeping up with me)!!
Knighton Parks 6 George McClurkin was MOM when he won all 3 against KP 7, Andy Searle supported him with 2 and John Underwood added his 1, making a 7-3 win
KP 6 fielded a team of newcomers to division2 having been promoted from their previous seasons results.
Niam Kotecha won 2, Muhammed Osman took 1 and Hamza Caratel narrowly lost 9-11 in the 5th to Andy . All 3 players making a creditable start to Div 2
Syston 4 played Holwell and thanks to Martin Bolton’s maximum went home with a 7-3 win, Scott Morris backed him up with 2 and 1 for Ajay Lad.
It was 1 each for Mike James, Dave Sharpe and Fred Berdej, Syston were gifted the doubles.

Just 1 postponement this week, haven’t got Unicorn going yet, this week all being well.
So no Unicorn v KP 7 match.
Knighton Park 6 made the trip to Holwell and went home 7-3 winners.
George McClurkin led KP with his maximum and backing him up was Elly Bajarias with 2 and 1 for Andy Searle, plus the doubles.
Mike James won 2 and Martin Brunning 1.
Abbots Road and Arnesby had to share the points with a 5 all draw.
Ali Ahmed was MOM with a 3 straight maximum and Gitesh Parhboo winning 1 for AR.
Dave Wagstaff and Barry Thompson won 2 each for Arnesby and 1 for Dave Small.
An inter club match saw Syston 3 beat Syston 4 by 7 game to 3.
Richard Anderson was MOM with his maximum for Syston 3, supporting him was Kevin Sanderson and Rhys Emery with 2 each, they gave the doubles away.
