British Junior League

3rd March from Shirley Pickering:

Knighton Park TTC entered a team of 4 boys for the British Junior League (formally National Junior League) held at Tamworth for this season.

There were 4 rounds of matches to be played starting in October to February,

The boys were Khaalid Patel, Niam Kotecha, Muhammed Osman and Tanveer Solanki.

We started of in division 2 (on my request as they were Cadets the previous season)  of  3 divisions, after the 1st round of matches,  having won all their matches we still ended up staying in division 2 on count back of games won.

So onto 2nd round were again we won all our matches and this time were promoted to division 1 where they were up against the big boys.

Round 3 saw the team hold onto staying  in div 1 and therefore remained in that division for the 4th and final round last weekend.

They played 3 matches and won 2 to be runners up behind a strong Colebridge A.

Niam Kotecha was 4th in the averages, with Khaalid 6th.

A very creditable performance from all the team on their 1st year in Juniors.

Leicester Junior League

Leicester Junior League - Session 4 - Saturday 7 March 2026 - from Peter Wilson

29th Jan from Peter Wilson:

Please find attached report on session 2.

The report, at the end of the document, contains the divisions for sessions 3 and 4.

Two points:

1. In order to win the 'top player' for each division, a player must play in both of the final sessions and in at least half of the team's matches.

2. To explain the promotion from Div 3:

-WW A and KP5/Badgers finished level on match points (10) and sets (9-3); and

the match between them was a draw (and also level on games); so

we went back to games difference in their other two matches; where

  • WW A were +12 and KP5 were +9- hence WW A promoted to Div 2

We look forward to seeing you/your players for session 3 this Saturday, 31 January at LGS

3rd Dec from Peter Wilson:

See attached pdf of the results/tables from session 1.

The report (at the end, after Div D) contains the divisions for session 2 to be held at LGS Saturday, 6 December.
